The Drugstore Mascara Dream Team

The pursuit of long lashes is one I've mentioned many times on my blog, be that with lash serums or the best way to curl them. Given all that lash talk, somehow I've never touched base on my holy grail mascaras! I do love me some luxury items but I have never been one to shell out $30 on a mascara when some of the greatest ones I've ever used are under $10. I've been using this combination lately and I think I've discovered the best team available!

Maybelline's The Falsies Volume Express is the first mascara I reach for when I want my lashes to look full and curled (so..always). I've used it for years now and it's earned itself a spot on the holy grail list. The  wand is flexible and shaped like a spoon which scoops my lashes up and curls them to the heavens. The inside of the curve is what I use to apply the mascara, and I turn the wand on its side to separate the lashes. I personally love the waterproof formulation!

L'Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black mascara has a bit of a reputation for creating long spidery lashes and really does the trick for me. I swear when I use this mascara on top of my Falsies mascara, it coats the tips of my lashes and makes them look even longer. It's perfect for my lower lashes as it grabs every little guy and seperates them perfectly.

I love layering these two products. Each mascara is formulated for a different effect and when you layer them you achieve the perfect lashes!
